learning increases knowledge of our ignorance

There is so much more to know already hanging over our heads, all compounded by a growing awareness that we are largely learning more about our increasing ignorance than any established knowledge. 
Every question we gain an answer to reveals more questions than we started with, suggesting we are learning more about our ignorance than wisdom.
