Think anyone could say physical scientists generally do not understand time because quite a few do not agree with each other on exactly what time is.
Since time cannot exist outside a comparison, it is a relationship figure independently outside other comparisons. One thing seems to be clear, time passing is sad, no matter how wonderful or terrible it was. Christmas is sad because they are all sandwiched between many memories. Eventually time passing in the flesh is sad.
I am fond of lookbacks of how magnified time was for me from fifteen and a half to eighteen. Next I thought 21 would never arrive until suddenly it ran right over me and no one noticed.
We are a longer time dead than alive. Such a long long time. Who can remember any of the people alive long ago? Julius Caesar was voted the most popular individual by a large historical organization awhile back. But who remembers him as any more than an assassination a long time gone?
